What does open banking stand for?
Open Banking allows banks and payment institutions to share certain banking data with other entities. Qonto developed its own Banking API to allow all your favorite business applications to communicate directly with your Qonto account to retrieve certain information.
Of course, this is never done at the expense of your data security. Your associated tools are only allowed to collect necessary information for their operation. They cannot access your funds, nor can they retrieve the entirety of your account information. Sensitive transactions (e.g. making a payment) require your explicit consent.

How does Qonto help me prepare my accounting?
In addition to helping you manage your day-to-day finances, Qonto also helps you prepare your accounting. For example: after each expense, you can upload and attach an associated receipt or invoice and VAT information (rate and amount) is detected automatically. Simply confirm the captured information and the VAT information will appear on your accounting export (or automatically transfer to your accounting tool if you’ve connected it to Qonto). You can also communicate more easily with your accountant by inviting them to join you on Qonto. Their Accountant role gives them read-only access to your transaction history (with no time limit) and they can export accounting data in just a few clicks.
How do I connect my Qonto account to my accounting tool?
You can connect over 50 accounting tools to Qonto. Any application listed in your Connect library has been thoroughly verified and has been chosen to make managing your business easier. To connect your Qonto account to your accounting tool, simply enter the following information in your accounting tool:
