Sign in

Go to the Business account section of your Qonto web app, and click on Accounts

Open a sub-account

Click on the Create account button

Adjust the settings

Select the type of account (current or term deposit) you want, assign a name for it- and you’re done.

Frequently asked questions

What are sub-accounts?

Sub-accounts are individual accounts you can add to and control from your primary account. Each account will have its own IBAN, bank statement, and payment method.

Note that your sub-accounts come with all the same features you get with your primary account. You can:


  1. create payment cards for each account and assign them to employees;
  2. make instant SEPA transfers, SWIFT transactions, as well as bulk transfers;
  3. grant employees or your accountant access to each account and customize their access.


You can also view transactions and make one or more payments at the same time. Download or export the account statements of your transactions - just as you would with your main account - by downloading your sub-account statement or exporting its transaction history.

What does it cost to open sub-accounts?

Sub-accounts are available with both the Freelancers and SME and Startups ranges of plans.


Freelancers:

Basic (€9): 1 Smart (€19): 2 Premium (€39): 5


SMEs and Startups:

Essential (€29): 5

Business (€99): 10

Enterprise (€249): 25

If you wish to add more accounts to the Enterprise option, there is an additional, per-account fee.

Who can access my sub-accounts?

You control who has access to your sub-accounts. You can assign permissions to each team member, restricting and providing access, set their expense limits, and add or remove team members as you see fit.

Can I receive funds on all my sub-accounts?

Since each account has its own IBAN, you can receive funds from clients on any account you need. Simply provide them with the right sub-account’s IBAN and you’ll receive your funds directly into that account. You can also move funds between sub-accounts anytime with ease.
