Business Mastercards - get the job done, fast

Qonto’s cash withdrawal cards aren’t exactly like credit cards. While they allow you to withdraw cash from ATMs, you won’t be able to exceed the set limit. You can set this limit on a weekly or monthly basis - depending on your preferences - to help you better manage your budgets.

Every Qonto plan comes with at least one physical One Card included. That said, you can always upgrade or request additional cards for an additional fee:

One Card

X Card

1. €20/month (excl. tax)

Qonto cards are secured with 3-D Secure technology. 3-D Secure requires at least two separate verification methods from you (the user) across multiple devices. This help us make sure that it’s actually you using your card and, conversely, to better identify any potential fraudulent activity on your account.

If you suspect your card information may have fallen into the wrong hands, you can easily block your card directly from your Qonto account.

1. Go to the Business Account section on your app, then click on Cards
2. Select the card you want to block and click on Report lost/stolen, at the bottom of the right-hand side.
3. Select Report as lost or Report as stolen.
4. Enter your password to confirm the block.

Qonto provides its users with debit cards, not credit cards. While credit card users are issued a line of credit from a financial institution which they are expected to pay interest on, debit cards draw funds directly from your account. With Qonto cards, you can assign different accounts or ‘multi-accounts’ from which each card will withdraw money.

5. 5 free withdrawals then 1€ (excl. VAT) per withdrawal
6. 1% foreign exchange commission on non-euro payments (and no fixed fees)

X Card

1. Mastercard World Debit
2. Benefit from a 0% foreign exchange commission on non-Euro payments (and no fixed fees)
3. Pay up to €200,000 per calendar month
4. Withdraw up to €3,000 per calendar month

Qonto also offers virtual cards (included in most plans, or for €2/month excl. tax). Virtual cards allow you to spend up to €20,000 per calendar month.

There are also Qonto Flash cards, which are “temporary” virtual cards. Ideal for one-off team expenses, you can set a specific budget or limit its use to a specific category, like team lunches or travel expenses.

Company payment cards are cards issued by the company to employees for business-related expenses. The company can manage these cards by setting spending limits, managing access and permissions, and blocking them whenever needed. This helps eliminate the need for team members to collect and submit receipts for reimbursement from the finance team.

When you make a payment with your card, key details about your transaction are sent to and approved by different institutions. The payment is first sent to the acquirer for approval, then is sent onto the card issuing bank. The payment can either be rejected due to insufficient funds or a blocked account, or the bank will send an approval back to the acquirer, and the transaction is completed.
